Textile collage and hand embroidery on vintage fabric.

This piece is named after the constellation of Lepus, just south of Orion, which represents a hare being hunted by his two dogs. The stars and body of this mountain hare are made of vintage silver fabric, giving the picture a subtle sparkle. His head, paws and tail are hand embroidered. The background fabric is 1960s Faye Hillier for Heals “Osier” fabric, which is in the V&A collection.
